i love getting flowers at work!

i got some today from a friend for my birthday..nothing really fancy...but it's just so cool when they come in with flowers and you wonder who they are for....and they are for you!.

anyone else love getting them???

Will someone invite you to the memorial?

most of us didn't go to the memorial since years.

do the elders come over once a year to invite you to go, or maybe a friend?.....or do they just ignore you?

They wouldn't even come and visit my sick and dying hubby..they have no time!...

I really doubt they will visit me..they are afraid of me...

Crybaby..or something else.......

my grand-daughter is 12 years old.

she attends a catholic school..always has.

her mom takes her and her 13 year old brother and picks them up everyday.. well..in the past she has started crying when her mom pulls up to school.

My grand-daughter is 12 years old. She attends a catholic school..always has. Her mom takes her and her 13 year old brother and picks them up everyday.

Well..in the past she has started crying when her mom pulls up to school. Not all the time but a lot..probably 10 times this year so far..

Now this morning she started crying so her mom brought her back home..she cried some more..then she just now took her to school.

Usually she stays home.

She has even made her go to school crying..she will sit in the class and cry..

Has anyone else had this problem?..I thought it may be because of her hormones..but she has done this all through her childhood.

I told my daughter to get her counseling..but she said she did talk to someone..and aked her daughter if it helped and she said NO!..

I said..a lot of times a counselor can ask the right questions to find out what is bugging you.

The funny thing is..my daughter used to do the same thing..But she blamed it on being a witness.

I said..there were plenty of other witness kids that didn't cry when they went to school!

Any suggestions?

i came home from hospital earlier today.

it was great to eat a fried breakfast again!.

Glad all is OK...

Just wanted to share something that happened to me.

I too had been diagnosed with a leaky valve..MVP.

Well I decided to quit smoking..and do you believe it stopped leaking!

I had the heart valve and heart sonogram and it showed it had actually quit leaking...

I had two leaking If I remember right..

Smoking also raises your pulse rate..

Don't know if you are a smoker or not..but if you are it might be worth a shot to stop...

well not 'new', as i'm over 30. heh but i'm newly out (letter of disassociation dropped off at kh end of january, and i was announced last thursday night).

i posted my 'story' on a different ex-jw board, and as it is so long, i'm not reprinting it.

ps..I mailed my letter to the WTBTS..years ago. I tried to get a copy of it a while back..they said it was their personal property now...wouldn't give me a copy.(It had incriminating evidence in it!..) I didn't think they would give me a copy...but I tried..

Bad news... looks like I won't be able to retire

Too bad you can't retire yet..It is fun!..

My daughter is winning her own lotto..she has a lawsuit going and just found out the initial buy out bid is $200,000. and they are just getting started.

A surgeon cut a nerve in her neck removing a non cancerous lump. She was awake at the time (even though they did a local) and felt it. (Ouch)..

He said she was just being a baby. But later she saw another surgeon and nerve specialist and found out with tests that the original Dr had severed her nerve going down in her arm.

She can still use it..but someday it may get weaker.

She is only 44...But looking forward to her reward...

Dentists

driving along earlier i was when i felt something crunch in my mouth, put my fingers in, few good yanks and twists with a pair of old pliers and out came the beggar, much better than a dentist.. what are your teeth like and how often do you see the dentist?

do you like the dentist or do you have a horror story to tell?.

I have so many crowns I could be a "Queen"..

But it is true about the teeth affecting the heart..

When I had a leaking heart valve I had to take antibiotics before dental work. Now it no longer leaks (Quit smoking 5 years ago) so no more antibiotics...

(Anybody got a cig?)

Armageddon to come next March

i was told by one of my sons tonight when i called to check on them that their uncle (who is still a jw, they are not) had been studying the prophecies and has figured out that armegeddon is going to come next march.

of course i laughed when he said that.. and he told me no really, his uncle has even been in touch with the governing body and they agreed with his findings.. .

now don't get me wrong, this man is very intelligent and i can see him coming up with some reasoning that may sound intelligent, but come on.... what i got the biggest kick out of it, was that he thought the gb was going to take him serious.. first off, i am sure they don't take serious anything someone nobody says to them.. and second of all, this man has been dfd for yrs and only back in recently.. .

I think it will come in 3030...

If it doesn't... I'll give you all my Social Security back... Honest....

i live in a new england style house (salt box) with wood siding.

i have a great room with 3 skylights 4x4 and a balcony over looking the livingroom.

How did you get a picture of MY pool?

I have several walls..one and a half bathrooms..2 bedrooms..a small family room..a kitchen ..a living dining room..a garage..and two cars that need help!

I mean..what's the odds that they would both break down at the same time?

I just had them both serviced...I don't trust mechanics...

I sure miss hubby..He always worked on the cars..I didn't realize how much he saved us..$
